Believers are tough, highly resilient people. In the face of hardships and almost impossible situations, they remain unshakeable and unbreakable. They are highly motivated. Where others see breakdown, they see breakthrough, where others exercise fear, they muster faith. Believers have this uncanny ability and capacity to withstand adversity and to bounce back even when life happens. The believer is a classical example of “when the going gets tough, the tough gets going”. All of these, not by power, nor by might, but by the Spirit of the Lord. How about the following nuggets to spice up your week:- Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all….. Psalm 34 v 19.- We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed….. 2 Corinthians 4 v 8 – 9.- But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel…. Exodus 1 v 12.- For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…. 2 Corinthians 4 v 17.- Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you….. 1 Peter 4 v 12.Let us pray: Child of God, as you traverse and go through all the uncertainties and challenges of each day, may the Lord make all grace abound toward you. God will renew your strength daily, you shall mount up with wings like the eagle, you shall run and not be weary, you shall walk and not faint. You shall have the last laugh and the best laugh in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
